The historical family estate dates back to 1896 where 100 years later Barb married the boy next door, Ray, who built his wife’s dream house on their 20 acre manor. Both the estate and house are brimming with history and mystery. The B&B is settled atop a grassy meadow near two ponds where, from the highest point in the yard, guests can watch the Missouri sun set over the trees. Enjoy the morning air on the outdoor tea patio and dining area, take a walk around the countryside, or even feed the fish at your leisure.
        With Five beautiful, themed suites you’ll be amazed at the elegant detail throughout the house. On the first floor guests are welcome in the common areas such as VICTORIAN TEA PARLOR which is perfect for a quiet read and a cup tea. The ornate dining room hosts a 24 hour coffee and tea bar with all the comforts of home. Guests have access to the New Event Room just off the dining area, great location for Weddings or other special events.
        The SARSAPARILLA SUITE is a vintage photo studio with a twist of country class. Boasting an antique working claw tub and authentic bottles of sarsaparilla, the Sarsaparilla Studio and private entrance is great for a peaceful weekend or an old-time photo session. Relax in our new massage chair and watch the flames dance in the fireplace.
        The STARLIGHT SUITE room is located on the second-floor, with views of the surrounding countryside. Follow the hand-painted treasure map that leads through a SECRET PASSAGEWAY to the vintage theater containing authentic movie theater seats and a free concession stand. Also home of many books and antique Tonka’s, the STARLIGHT THEATER room is great for a weekend Man-cation or adventure getaway.
         With a multiple-jet in two person spa shower (in GARDEN SPA SUITE) and high-end linens on the king size bed, who couldn’t relax in the calming sage and white GARDEN SPA room? The luxurious GARDEN SPA hosts windows that overlook the intricate Victorian porch and front fountain pond. In front of the cozy fireplace is the perfect area to enjoy a glass of sparking juice with your special someone.

         Wake up to the smell of a home-cooked breakfast with the famous Spencer Sausage Strata. Local Amish pastry and free-range eggs are used to create this delicious classic. Also from the Amish farm are the delicious Amish pastries (when available). Or choose lighter gormet quiche and fresh fruit parfaits. The hand-painted intricate art in the rooms and on the doors and the goat milk soaps and lotions in the bathrooms are other ways we focus on supporting local artisans.
